Tonight, D.C. United was victorious. The Black-and-Red beat the San Jose Earthquakes 1-0, courtesy of a Chris Pontius penalty shot after Chris Korb was taken down in the box. Pontius' first goal of the year snapped DCU's 13-game winless streak.
When asked about his performance on the night, Pontius said, “I felt like I actually got into a groove in this game. It’s one of the first games this year where I felt like I got into a rhythm and felt like my old self again.”
