D.C. United, Raphael Augusto mutually agree to part ways

D.C. United and midfielder Raphael Augusto today announced that the two have mutually agreed to terminate his contract. The Brazilian international appeared in seven matches (five starts) this season, logging 395 minutes.


“We would like to thank Raphael for his time at D.C. United, and we wish him all the best in the future,” said D.C. United General Manager Dave Kasper.


Augusto was signed on loan from Brazilian Serie A side Fluminense on July 28, 2012. The midfielder has previously represented the Brazil U-20 national team, and made his debut for D.C. United in the first leg of the 2012 Eastern Conference finals against the Houston Dynamo on November 11, 2012.
