This past Saturday, D.C. United met longtime rivals the New York Red Bulls as Red Bull Arena. The team came away with a point, as Bill Hamid earned his second shutout of the season in a 0-0 draw.
Hamid answered each of New York's seven shots on goal, including a few screamers from Henry. This is just one save short of Hamid's personal record.
Three games into the season, and Hamid has already secured two clean-sheets. Hamid leads the league in shutouts so far in 2013. In 2012, the young keeper served up eight shutouts in thirteen wins and four ties.
Making thirteen saves in three matches, puts Hamid at the top of the league in total number of saves made.
The Black-and-Red's net minder had the best saves percentage in the league last year, with 79.9%. Through the first three matches of 2013, Hamid's saves percentage is up to 86.7%.
