Founded even before the inaugural match of the 1996 MLS Season, La Barra Brava, is one of the original supporters groups in MLS and their name says it all. Literally translated as The Brave Fans, Barra has shown passion and support for the Black-and-Red since day one. At D.C. United's first opening day, La Barra Brava was 15 strong and sat in section 135. In 2012, the group included over 1,600 members.
