11th Annual Kick-Off Luncheon

D.C. United and its charitable arm, United for D.C., today announced that the Annual Kick-Off Luncheon will take place on Tuesday, March 5 at 12 p.m. The event will serve as a fundraiser for United for D.C., and will be held at The Hamilton Live DC. The luncheon is an opportunity for fans to meet the 2013 Black-and-Red players, coaches, and staff while also supporting United for D.C.'s mission to provide opportunities to disadvantaged youth through soccer, healthy lifestyle, and literacy initiatives. A seated lunch, official team introductions, and a silent auction are all set to take place, with items from D.C. United, other MLS clubs, and other sports teams available for auction.

Presenting and supporting sponsorships – which allow for recognition on all future press releases, website postings, e-newsletters, communication pieces and luncheon materials – are currently available for $5,000 and $3,000 each, respectively. These two types of sponsorships include a table at the luncheon for nine attendees to be paired with a D.C. United player or coach.

Additionally, there will be sponsorship tables made available for nine seats and a spot for a D.C. United player, coach, or executive management at $1,200, as well as six-seat tables for $800. Individual tickets will be sold for $150 per person, while those unable to attend can still support the cause by contributing a Spirit Donation at $50 per person. All donations are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.

All proceeds from the event will go to benefit United for D.C., which was established by D.C. United as a 501 (c) 3 organization in 2002. The non-profit has three signature programs: United Reads, which encourages a love for reading and healthy lifestyles in six local public schools; Kicks for Kids, which provides the game-day experience to thousands of inner-city, under-served youths each season; and United Soccer Club, which provides free after-school soccer programming to disadvantaged urban children throughout the greater D.C. area.
