An open letter from D.C. United

Supporters - Fans - Tifo

The 2012 MLS season was a wonderful roller coaster ride which, sadly, came to an end one match too early.

All of us at D.C. United are extremely excited about our future. We have a wonderful, young group of players who will be the core of our team for many years to come. They were a group that fought for each other, and the club, against all odds, to make it to the conference championship. They have had a taste of success, and they can’t wait to get to work to achieve even more.

2013 will be a great year for our club, and we want the entire community to be there with us. Season ticket plans are on sale now and we look forward to seeing you next season.

This week is the right time for us to say “thank you” to so many who were key to our resurgence this year:

Thank you to Events DC and the staff of RFK Stadium;

Thank you to the Board of Trade, the Greater Washington Sports Alliance and the Chamber of Commerce, and all their members, for their support;

Thank you to all of the community organizations that work with us to make D.C. a better place to live;

Thank you, to the District Government, the Mayor, and the Council for all of their support – and especially for their commitment to work with us to build a new, state of the art stadium for D.C. United, here in our home.

Finally, thank you to our supporters. It is difficult to express what your unwavering support means to us. In good times and bad, in sun and rain and snow, you are there for us. As we said in the locker room on Sunday, we are a team of 20,000 and more.

NO ONE CAN HOLD US BACK – WE ARE UNITED
