RFK 2012

Whether you're coming to your first game of the season, or you've been to every match of the 2012 campaign, we want to make sure you make the most of your matchday experience at RFK Stadium. Below is a list of things every fan should try.


PRE-MATCH


Capital Soccer Show: Before you leave for the match, make sure you download the latest episode of the Capital Soccer Show to listen to it on your way to the stadium or while you tailgate. Hosts Greg Roche (DC101) and Sebastian Salazar breakdown the team's current form and interview soccer personalities from around MLS and U.S. Soccer. Download an episode


Parking benefits for VW owners: If you drive a Volkswagen, you are eligible for two great parking benefits.


  • VW offers free parking to the first 50 Volkswagens that park in Lot 4. Arrive early! The lot fills quickly.
  • Volkswagen owners that park in Lot 8 (full parking rates apply) are eligible to park in a special section that is normally reserved for Season Ticket Holders.


Lot 8 Tailgate and Food Trucks:The Lot 8 Tailgate opens two and a half hours prior to kickoff and features fun activities for fans of all ages. Get a taste of the town from local DC food trucks Bada Bing, DC Slices, and Doug the Food Dude.Tailgaters typically gather on the lawn for corn hole and other games. Be sure to check out Customer Service's tent for the chance to win upgraded game tickets and two passes to the Corona Deck.


INSIDE RFK STADIUM


Promotional items: Once you're inside the gates, don't forget to check for any matchday promotional items. On October 20, in honor of Fan Appreciation Night, we will hand out team posters to the first 10,000 fans in the door.


Matchday: Be sure to pick up a copy of our FREE game program called Matchday. Each issue has an exclusive feature on a player or coach and the latest team news.


Be a Good Sport: D.C. United and Budweiser encourage fans to drink responsibly. Head to Gate A to make the pledge to be the designated driver for your friends and receive a free soda, Good Sport promotional items, and the chance to win a cool prize-pack.


Get the gear: Our Team Store is open three and a half hours prior to kickoff on gamedays. The store is located at RFK Stadium's Main Gate, and offers everything from scarves and jerseys to children's clothes and dog collars. On October 20, all items in the store or kiosks will be 30% off.


VW Garage: The Volkswagen Garage is located field-level in the north endzone. The garage features Olsen's Obstacles, Meet the Fleet, a photobooth, and more. Learn more


Food specialities: RFK Stadium offers everything from pupusas and carne asada to hot dogs and fries, plus a good selection of beers and drinks. You can grab food at a vendor's stand or try the Capitol View Club a pub-style eatery located on the Mezzanine level behind section M-17. List of food and beverage locations


DURING THE MATCH


You know what to do - cheer and sing in support of D.C. United for 90 minutes. If you need help you can use our mobile guest services or visit the Guest Services booth located behind section 307.


Name in Lights: For a $50.00 donation to United for D.C. you can have a message posted on RFK Stadium's scoreboard. For a $150 donation, you can share a message and a photo. Donate or learn more


POST-MATCH


Autographs: Select players will sign autographs on the field level after matches. Fans can make their way down to the first few rows of Sections 101 to 106 and 113 through 114 of the stadium to have an opportunity to receive an autograph by one of the players. Autographs are NOT guaranteed, but players will do their best to sign as many as time allows.
