FAN POLL: 24 Under 24

MLSsoccer.com is counting down the top 24 players under the age of 24 this week. They call it "24 Under 24." D.C. United has four players on this year's list.


NICK DELEON - #16
United's 2012 Rookie of the Year candidate makes his debut in the rankings at number 16. The report noted the No. 7 overall 2012 SuperDraft pick "played like an expert pro" at the beginning of the season and cited his excellent work rate and 1-v-1 skills as strengths. Full report mlssoccer.com


BILL HAMID - #10
Starting goalkeeper Bill Hamid has made the list for all three years of its existence. In 2010, the rookie 'keeper was ranked 14th, in 2011 he rose to 12th overall. Continuing his steady climb (and in twos) United's third-year shot-stopper came in at the 10th spot. The report described Bill as "a big guy and hard to beat." Full report mlssoccer.com


ANDY NAJAR - #9
The 2010 MLS Rookie of the Year was ranked 3rd in both 2010 and 2011. The Honduran international makes the list for a third straight year in 2012, but slips down to number 9. The report called him "one of the bright young stars in MLS," but noted some coaches think "he’s lost a bit of his form of late." Full report on mlssoccer.com


PERRY KITCHEN - #8
The first round draft pick from the 2011 SuperDraft is the fourth D.C. United player on the list. Kitchen was ranked 17th in 2011, and climbs to number 8 in the 2012 version of the rankings. The report says United's young d-mid is "a leader on the field with good technical ability, good vision and his passing range is good." Full report on mlssoccer.com
