D.C. United announced today that Kensington, Maryland native Ethan White has been loaned to USL PRO side Richmond Kickers for two upcoming home matches. Ethan White will be available for selection against the Rochester Rhinos (6/23 at 7:00 p.m.) and the Los Angeles Blues (7/3 at 7:00 p.m.). He will return to the Black-and-Red following the two matches.
White, a homegrown talent from nearby Kensington, Maryland made an immediate impact during his first professional season with D.C. United. He was a consistent contributor to United’s defense in 2011, playing in 24 matches with 21 starts and logging close to 2,000 minutes on the pitch. Following off-season knee surgery, White has yet to play a League match this season. Ethan White has played all 180 minutes in both D.C. United Reserve League matches this season, with the most recent being a (W 4-3) victory over Toronto FC Reserve on June 9th.
The Kickers are currently in 6th place in the USL PRO standings, with a 4-4-5 record through 13 matches. The upcoming regular-season matches will see the Kickers face-off against the 3rd place Rochester Rhinos, and the 5th place Los Angeles Blues, who both sit narrowly above the Richmond Kickers in the USL PRO regular-season schedule.
