Jaime Moreno to host summer camps

2012 Summer Camps - RFK Stadium

One of the most accomplished players in Major League Soccer history has turned his attention to helping area youth soccer players develop. Jaime Moreno – who scored the second-most goals in MLS history – now serves in the D.C. United Academy and will host two ‘Jaime Moreno Striker Camps’ this summer, accompanying a full slate of 17 D.C. United summer camps.

“As a father of five, I know personally how great the sport of soccer is for kids,” said Moreno, who also serves as the head coach for D.C. United’s U-23 team. “Soccer gave me so much during my career and I’m pleased to be able to pass down the things that I learned. We believe each of our 17 summer camps provide a level of instruction – and fun – unmatched in the Washington metro area.”

D.C. United 2012 Summer Camps include opportunities for players of all skill levels, from beginner to elite. Camps take place in DC, Virginia, and Maryland from June to August. United’s coaching staff uses age-appropriate technical and tactical exercises to maximize growth.

Every 2012 D.C. United Summer Camp participant will receive an official D.C. United camp ball, an official camp t-shirt and a ticket voucher to a D.C. United regular season home match. Participation in any camp includes a D.C. United player appearance and autograph session.
