NYRB-D.C. United Reserve match set for October 6

D.C. United announced todaythat its MLS Reserve League match against the New York Red Bulls scheduled for Friday,October 7 has been pushed up to Thursday, October 6 at 3:00 p.m. ET. Thecontest will be played in Montclair, N.J. at Montclair State University’s turffield. The club’s second Reserve match with the New York Red Bulls, to be hostedby United, will be rescheduled for a later date. The contest was originally slatedfor Tuesday, September 13.  


The Black-and-Red Reservescurrently sit in second place in the East Division of the MLS Reserve League at5-0-2 (17 points), one point behind Columbus. The Black-and-Red will have anopportunity to reclaim the top spot on Sunday, October 2, as United’s Resrvesare set to take on their Columbus Crew counterparts following the first teammatch at Crew Stadium. United’s Reserves played their seventh match of theseason on Tuesday, August 30 at Toronto FC, earning a 1-1 draw in the 92ndminute with a goal from Joseph Ngwenya.
