As part of D.C. United’s continued efforts to make appearances in the community and through its partnership with Volkswagen, United players will be making various appearances throughout the Metropolitan Area this week.
On Monday, August 1 goalkeeper Bill Hamid and defender Perry Kitchen will participate in the Train with the Pros event in Hollywood, Md. The next day, defender Chris Korb will be present at the D.C. United Camp at Middletown High School. On Wednesday, midfielder Stephen King will participate in the same event at The Woods Academy. Also on Wednesday, forward Charlie Davies will return to Washington Hospital Center to thank the doctors and nurses who treated him after his severe car accident in October of 2009. Finally, a player to be determined will participate in Play with the Pros on Saturday, August 6.
