D.C. United will run a week-long camp for strikers and goalkeepers at the RFK Training Grounds in Washington, DC as part of the club’s 2011 Summer Camp schedule. The camp, intended for players of all skill levels aged 7-17, runs 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. from July 18 - 22.
In addition, all participants will receive an official D.C. United camp ball, an official camp t-shirt, a ticket voucher to a D.C. United regular season home match and discount offers on United ticket packages.
D.C. United’s striker and goalkeeper is an intense week of specialized training for both positions. Strikers will experience a challenging curriculum on the art of creating and converting goals, while goalkeepers will take part in a program designed to improve shot stopping, catching, aerial duels, distribution, footwork, and positioning.
Players are put in an exciting soccer environment consisting of modern camp exercises, high-level skills demonstrations, and small-sided competitions. Over the years, D.C. United has established itself as a leader in youth development, and a leader in teaching players positive training habits.
