D.C. United helps Salvation Army distribute 'turkey bags'

Salvation Army turkey bag distribution

D.C. United spent the second day in its "10 Days of Giving" campaign with the Salvation Army DC. Front office staff went to the Salvation Army's Sherman Avenue location near Columbia Heights to help to distribute bags filled with turkeys, stuffing, and additional sides to families in need. The event included an arts & crafts table and other activities for the volunteers to interact with kids arriving with their parents to pick up the items.  The Black-and-Red will return to work with the Salvation Army on Wednesday for Thanksgiving meal service at Safeway's Feast of Sharing!
