D.C. United announced Monday that a summer internationalfriendly against Rangers FC has been canceled due to complications surroundingthe famed Scottish side’s upcoming American tour.
The match was scheduled for July 24 at RFK Stadium.
Rangers FC also recently announced they had canceled aproposed Old Firm derby matchup against Celtic at Fenway Park in Boston forJuly 21, reportedly opting to pursue a tournament in Australia with BocaJuniors, Blackburn Rovers and Sydney FC.
D.C. United are still slated to host legendary Italian side ACMilan on May 26, and continue to seekadditional exhibition opponents for dates later in the summer.
