D.C. United reserves to play three local sides

Washington, D.C. (February 17, 2010) - D.C. United announced today that the club will play a slate of reserve matches against local clubs in March and April. United will host all three contests at the club’s RFK Stadium training fields. The games are open to the public.

The first match will be played against North American Soccer League side Crystal Palace Baltimore on March 29 at 11 AM, two days after United’s first team opens the Major League Soccer regular season in Kansas City. The second match will occur on April 11 at 11 AM, as the Black-and-Red play host to Real Maryland of the United Soccer Leagues Second Division. This fixture follows the senior side’s away match against Philadelphia Union on April 10. Lastly, United’s reserves welcome the University of Maryland for a mid-week match on Wednesday, April 14 at 10 AM.

Broadcasting and P.A. Request: When speaking of the organization, please refer to the team as either “D.C. United” or “United,” but not “the D.C. United” or “the United.” We appreciate your cooperation.
