Two goals each from Christian Gomez and Boyzzz Khumalo helped United easily dispatch of San Juan Jabloteh this evening at RFK Stadium. The win was United's third in a row in CONCACAF Champions League play and puts the team in great position to advance with just one game remaining in Group B play.
Fans should turn their attention to the TV tomorrow night when CD Marathon (Honduras) hosts CD Toluca (Mexico) on Galavision at 10pm ET. A Toluca win would ensure D.C.'s passage into the knockout stage of the tournament, while a draw or Marathon win would leave more to do for the Black-and-Red (who face Toluca in Mexico on Oct. 20 in its final game).
For now, we enjoy a comprehensive performance from the home team. Tomorrow though, everyone turns their attention back to League play, and what can only be described as a must-win game against Chivas USA on Saturday at RFK Stadium.
