MLS game #4: DCU 1 - RSL 2

For the fourth year in a row, United failed to get points playing at Real Salt Lake's home stadium.  The team scored first, but then conceded a goal minutes later.  The final tally came just ten minutes from the final whistle, as Javier Morales put Salt Lake up for good.

The good for United?

  • Luciano Emilio found the back of the net for the third game in row.
  • Rookie Chris Pontius got his first career assist.
  • Fred got his first start of the year and played nearly 70 minutes.
  • Santino Quaranta made his first appearance of 2009.
  • Andrew Jacobson held his own in his first career MLS start.
