D.C. United kicks off the 2009 edition of the Carolina Challenge Cup this evening against Real Salt Lake. Kickoff is set for 5 p.m. ET and I'll be providing live updates on Twitter. With the season-opener just two weeks away, Head Coach Tom Soehn is running out a starting lineup made primarily of veterans.
