On Sunday, the team will take on the reigning NCAA National Champion Maryland Terrapins in a scrimmage at Ludwig Field in College Park. The game is open to the public and set for kickoff at 1 p.m. ET. Admission is free.
D.C. United has a number of ties to Maryland, as three current players played their collegiate ball as members of Sasho Cirovski's club - Rodney Wallace (2007-08), Marc Burch (2005) and Domenic Mediate (2001-04).
