Tonight is the Fifth Annual United Awards Reception to benefit United for D.C. At the event, we'll annouce all of the team awards - MVP, Defender of The Year, Fans' Choice, Goal of the Year, Coaches Award, Humanitarian of the Year - and look back on the season that was. There are also going to be several hilarious videos (I should know, I've seen them already) that will provide entertainment throughout the evening (just like this one). Though you technically can't register for tonight's reception, if you really, really, really, really want to go drop Kate Larned an email and she'll try to squeeze you in.
Secondly, I'll be providing live Twitter updates of all the award winners from tonight's gathering. You can follow us here (you can get updates sent directly to your phone, if you so choose), beginning at 7 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.
Tonight's affair takes place at the (historic!) Atlas Theater on H St. in Northeast DC. Registration and cocktails (yes, there's an open bar) begin at 7 p.m., the Awards Ceremony takes place at 8 and the Dessert Reception starts around 9.
Mmmmmmmmmdessert.
