Champions League update: Marathon wins

Last night, the two other teams in United's CONCACAF Champions League Group A got their tournaments underway as Cruz Azul (Mexico) traveled to Honduras to take on CD Marathon.  The home team came out with a 2-0 victory on the strength of goals from Carlos Mejia (34th minute) and Mario Beata (56th).  You can read the full report at concacaf.com


Marathon - United's opponent next Wednesday - now shares the Group A lead with Deportivo Saprissa at three points apiece, while Cruz Azul and United sit at the bottom of the group, each with zero points.  Cruz Azul will host Saprissa next Wendesday.
