D.C. United captured an unprecedented fourth MLS Cup title in 2004.  Led by captain Ryan Nelsen, United became a dominant force late in the season and stormed through the playoffs.  Following a legendary shootout victory over New England in the Eastern Conference Final, United overcame a Dema Kovalenko red card to top the Kansas City Wizards 3-2 at the Home Depot Center in Carson, CA.  Comcast SportsNet will revisit the game tonight at 7:00 p.m. ET.

Unheralded rookie midfielder Josh Gros was a vital cog in the championship machine that season.  Gros took the team and the League by storm, displaying a work rate and tenacity that went unmatched.  The Mechanicsburg, PA native will appear on Washington Post Live today at 5:00 p.m. ET to talk about the 2004 team, his professional playing career and his plans for the future.

We at United hope you've enjoyed our Championship Week programming with Comcast SportsNet.  Few professional sports organizations are able to establish such a winning tradition.  What's equally important is our connection with our fans.  It's easy to support a winning team, but we know it's even better when the fans are a 'part of that family.'  Since 1996, knowledgable and committed fans from around the country have given their love and passion to D.C. United.  We'll continue to do our very best to be an organization these supporters are proud to be a part of.
