Champions' Cup: DCU 0 - Pachuca 2

That, obviously, was not the result the team was hoping for. All were disappointed and expected better, but Pachuca is a very strong team and showed their quality tonight.

Head Coach Tom Soehn spoke with media after the game. Here are a few excerpts from what he had to say:

"Pachuca were the better team tonight. We didn't do as well as we wanted to with the soccer side and now we've dug ourselves a hole. We've put ourselves in a tough spot... I think the altitude did have an effect - you could tell our guys we're tired. We've only played a few games and Pachuca showed they are fit... We'll look forward to getting them back at RFK, but we've definitely dug ourselves a hole."

The return leg takes place next Wednesday, April 9, at RFK Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET. United will need to win by two goals in order to send the game to overtime. Should the game remain tied after two 15-minute overtime periods, the game would be decided by penalty kicks. A three-goal win in regulation would send D.C. to the finals. Away goals are not weighted in Champions' Cup play.

The team bus departs at 5 a.m. tomorrow for the airport. Ouch.
