MLS EXPERIENCE

2011: Following a trade from Toronto to Dallas in August, Santos played in 11 matches (nine starts) for the Texas side, tallying two goals and one assist in 726 minutes of action. The Brazilian forward came in as a substitute in the playoffs, playing the last 17 minutes of Dallas’ final match. Prior to his time in Dallas, Santos notched six goals and one assist for Toronto FC. The experienced attacker started 15 of 19 matches played with the reds, registering 1,248 minutes on the field.

2010: In his first season with Toronto FC, Santos played 13 games (10 starts) for the Reds, registering four goals and two assists in 927 minutes of action. The Brazilian scored his first goal for Toronto in the Carlsberg Cup against Bolton Wanderers on July 21. Before joining the Canadian side, Santos played nine matches (three starts) for Chivas USA, contributing one goal during his second season with the Goats.

2009: Santos made his MLS debut with Chivas USA just one day after signing with the club, assisting on the second goal in a 2-0 victory over Toronto FC. He started eight of ten contests played with Chivas during the regular season, scoring one goal and one assist. Santos started both of Chivas’ matches in the MLS Cup Playoffs, scoring a goal in the first leg against the LA Galaxy.

OTHER PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

2009: Santos spent a brief period with Brazilian club Bonsucesso before being acquired by Chivas USA.

2008: Santos played for Israeli Premier League clubs Hapoel Kiryat Shomna and Bnei Sakhnin. He appeared in two UEFA Cup (currently known as Europa League) matches and three Toto Cup (Israel) contests, scoring one goal for Hapoel Kiryat Shomna. Santos then moved to Bnei Sakhnin, making ten Israeli league appearances and scoring three goals in two Toto Cup matches.

2006-07: Santos played for Tunisian side Étoile Sportive du Sahel, spending one season on loan at Libyan club Al-Nasr Benghazi.

2005: The Paracambi native made his professional debut with Rio de Janeiro side Madureira Esporte Clube of the Campeonato Brasileiro Série C.
