PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

2016

After suffering a season-ending ACL tear in his right knee on August 13, 2015, Korb had further complications and underwent additional surgery in 2016, missing the entire season. 

 

 

2015

Korb tallied two assists in United’s 3-2 victory over Philadelphia on July 26. He suffered a season-ending ACL tear in his right knee in a 3-1 loss to New York City FC on August 13.

 

2014

Korb made 19 appearances (15 starts) and finished his fourth professional season with a career-high matching three assists, including assists on game-winning goals against Sporting Kansas City on May 31 and Philadelphia on Sept. 27.

 

2013

In his third season in the League, Korb became one of United’s most reliable players throughout the 2013 season. The defender set career highs in games played (30), games started (30), minutes (2,700) and shots (12) and was a mainstay at the outside back position.

 

2012

After starting and appearing in just 12 matches for D.C. United in his rookie year, Korb featured in 26 games (22 starts) in his second MLS campaign. Korb logged 2,051 minutes and registered three assists out of the back, including the set-up to Lewis Neal’s game-winning, playoff-clinching goal on October 20 against the Columbus Crew.

 

2011

Korb began his professional career after being selected in the second round (31st overall) in the 2011 MLS SuperDraft on 1/13. The former University of Akron defender started all 12 matches that he played in for United, registering two assists in 1,020 minutes of action during the 2011 MLS season.

COLLEGE EXPERIENCE

2006-2010: During his senior year, Chris Korb started all 25 matches at outside back and was part of a defensive unit that posted 11 shutouts.  He logged 2,208 minutes on the field making him third among all UA field players.  Korb finished the season with five assists with two coming in consecutive matches.  He was named to the All-MAC Second Team. Korb was named to the All-Mid-American Conference First Team in 2009.
