MLS EXPERIENCE
2010: Acquired from Seattle for a second-round 2011 MLS SuperDraft pick on 4/30, King played his 2010 home games for United at the same stadium where he enjoyed a 2009 U.S. Open Cup final victory with the Sounders FC. The Medford, N.J. native gelled well with the Black-and-Red, playing in 20 MLS regular season matches and starting 16 of them. In 1,415 minutes of action, King registered one assist. His 17 shots were the third-most among United players without a goal scored in the regular season.
2009: After being acquired by Seattle in the 2009 expansion draft, King made ten appearances for the Sounders (3 starts), playing a total of 433 minutes. King asserted himself in Seattle’s 2009 U.S. Open Cup run, scoring three goals (two match-winners) while posting one assist. King’s extra time winner over Houston on 9/7 propelled the Sounders to the U.S. Open Cup final against United, where Seattle triumphed 2-1 at RFK Stadium in a hard-fought contest.
2008: Drafted in the third round (40th overall) of the 2008 MLS SuperDraft by the Chicago Fire, King played in 20 games that season in his first MLS campaign. The young midfielder started eight matches that season, scoring two goals and registering one assist. He made his first MLS start playing the full 90 minutes at San Jose on April 12 in 1-0 win. King scored his first MLS career goal in 76th minute at New England on May 3 in 3-0 win, and his first match-winning strike on September 6 against New York. In addition to his League experience, King started nine games and logged 707 minutes with one assist for the Fire in the MLS Reserve Division.
COLLEGE EXPERIENCE
2004-2007: At the University of Maryland King started all 93 matches that he played in over a four-year career. He is first all-time in this category, second in all-time assists (33), and second in assists in one season (13). In 2007 the midfielder was a semifinalist for the Hermann Trophy for the second straight year before being named to the College Soccer News All-American first team. That same year the senior Terp was named to the All-ACC first team. King scored 15 goals in 2005 as a sophomore, ranking him 10th all-time for a single season in Maryland history. Even as a freshman, King started every match for Maryland and contributed three game-winning goals.

EXPERIENCIA MLS
2009: Después de ser seleccionado por Seattle en el draft de expansóin del 2009, King tuvo diez presentaciones para los Sounders (tres como titular), jugando un total de 433 minutos.
