MLS Experience

2010: Wolff started 16 the 25 games he played and scored two goals for Kansas City. He had 3 assists and took 21 shots for the Wizards.

2009: Wolff led the team with a career-high 11 goals which was also 10th highest in MLS. He also set personal records for games played at 27 and shots at 62.

2008: Returning to the Kansas City Wizards midseason from German club 1860 Munich, he scored the game-tying goal at Columbus in his first game back. He started 11 of the 12 games he played to finish out the season.

2006: Wolff scored five goals and had two assists while starting 18 of the 19 games. He missed a portion of the season due to time spent with the U.S. National Team for the 2006 World Cup in Germany.

2005: 2005 saw Wolff recorded a career-high 10 assists while starting in all 22 games he played. He missed 10 games during the season due to playing the U.S. National Team during the CONCACAF Gold Cup.

2004: Wolff enjoyed career year, setting career highs for games started (25), minutes played and points (27). He also had 10 goals and seven assists. He was named to the Western Conference All-Star team.

2003: Prior to the season Wolff was traded to the Wizards from the Chicago Fire. With injuries throughout the season including a torn meniscus, an ankle injury and a fractured rib he was only able to play 13 games but managed to score 2 goals.

2002: Wolff started in all 14 games he appeared in, scoring 5 goals before he suffered a torn ACL against Kansas City ending his season.

2001: Due to a left foot stress fracture, Wolff was only able to play in three games but he was also able to score three goals.

2000: Wolff started in 20 of the 25 games he appeared in. He was the U.S. Open Cup’s second leading scorer with six goals and two assists including the “golden goal” in the semifinal.

1999: Before tearing his left ACL and being out for six months, Wolff appeared in 28 straight games, scoring 10 goals.

1998: In Wolff’s rookie season he started four of the 14 games he appeared in. He scored one Open Cup goal and drew a penalty kick in the U.S. Open Cup Final against Columbus to help Chicago wins its second championship. He finished the season with 8 goals.

International Experience

Wolff has appeared 52 times for the U.S. National Team, scoring nine goals and five assists. He has been a member of the 2006 and 2002 U.S. World Cup teams. He made two appearances at the 2002 World Cup, in one of which he assisted on Brian McBride’s game winning goal against Mexico that advanced the team into the quarterfinals. He scored the winning goal in the 2002 CONCACAF Gold Cup final win over Costa Rica. He scored his first international goal in 2000 against Mexico. He also played every minute of the U.S.’ six Olympic games and scored 2 goals in Sydney. Wolff was the recipient of the first ever Chevrolet/U.S. Soccer Young Male Athlete of the Year Award in 1998.

College Experience

Josh Wolff played for three years at the University of South Carolina where he scored 21 goals and had eight assists in 43 games. After his junior season, Wolff left USC and signed with MLS.

Signed with D.C. United on 12/15/10 following selection in Stage 2 of the 2010 MLS Re-Entry Draft.
