Last night, D.C. United topped defending MLS Cup Champion Sporting Kansas City 3-0. With goals from Fabián Espíndola, Chris Rolfe and Perry Kitchen, the Black-and-Red claimed first in the Eastern Conference as well as the League. Additionally, the victory marked United's first-ever win at Sporting Park.

Most of the players were unaware of this statistic. Once made aware, their reactions varied.

Perry Kitchen: It’s a huge win for us, espeically here. For me that’s the first time I've won here which is pretty cool. It’s a tough place to play."

It wasn't only your first win here, it was the Club's.
PK: Oh, nice! Yeah, wow. It's definitely a hard place to play.

Davy AranudThat’s nice, but if it was our eighth win here, it wouldn’t really make a difference. What has happened in the past doesn’t matter. What happened last season, it doesn’t matter. What is important is right now and we are happy with the win.

Sean FranklinI guess we made history tonight, which is always a good thing.
