Black-and-Red goalkeeping success
D.C. United goalkeeper Bill Hamid is currently tied for fifth in all-time saves percentage against the Chicago Fire at 80.8%. But, first on the all-time list is D.C. United goalkeeping coach, Preston Burpo, with a save percentage of 90.9%.
The last time these two sides faced each other the Black-and-Red defeated the Chicago fire, 2-0, at Toyota Park in the U.S. Open Cup semifinals. Dwayne De Rosario and Nick DeLeon each scored to lead United to victory.
In 45 all-time regular season meetings, D.C. United and the Chicago Fire are tied at 17-17-11. But, 11 of those 17 wins have come at home for the Black-and-Red.

The second-leading goal scorer in MLS this season has only scored twice in his 10 trips to RFK stadium. His first goal came in 2003 with the MetroStars and his last was in 2011 with the LA Galaxy.
