Tuesday Training Notes
On a clear fall day, D.C. United returned to training after a disappointing loss at New England. The Black-and-Red worked hard through agility and passing drills, then hyped up the intensity in possession. Next, the squad remained in the same teams and attacked three small goals. After a hard fought battle, United enjoyed a crossing and finishing drill which saw many great goals and lots of jaw-dropping saves. A few photos of the drill are below. But first, here's an injury update on Jared Jeffrey, seen receiving the ball as the neutral player in the picture above.
Midfielder Jared Jeffrey returned to training today after suffering an ankle sprain against New York on August 31. Last week, Jeffrey worked out on the side with an athletic trainer, but today, the young talent participated in each drill. Jeffrey looked sharp on the ball and eager to return to the pitch. D.C. United head athletic trainer Brian Goodstein says Jeffrey is progressing nicely through his rehab.
