Top 5 moments at RFK Stadium in 2012 (so far)

We count down our top five favorite moments of the season. What are yours?

D.C. United season ticket holders have the opportunity to attend every match at RFK Stadium and, this year, they've have had the chance to see some pretty incredible moments. Below, we count down our top five - let us know in the comments below which have been your favorite.

TOP 5 MOMENTS AT RFK STADIUM IN 2012 (so far):

Honorable mention: Zlatan Ibrahimovic's first goal with Paris Saint-Germain
Though it didn't benefit the Black-and-Red, fans of the beautiful game who were at RFK Stadium the night of July 28 will be able to look back and say they saw not only Zlatan Ibrahimovic's PSG debut, but his first goal for the UEFA Champions League contenders.

5. Branko Boskovic's first career MLS goal in 1-0 win over Chivas USA
Having been summoned from the bench as a second half substitute, Boskovic wasted little time in making a mark on the match. Just minutes after stepping onto the field, the veteran midfielder dove to his right to meet Lionel Pajoy's cross. Boskovic nodded the ball to the far corner for the match-winning tally.

4. Ben Olsen's Hall of Tradition induction
Ben Olsen was honored pregame on September 15 for his many accomplishments on the field on an evening when his astute substitutions as the team's head coach helped D.C. United extend its unbeaten streak to 14 matches. An hour after his Hall of Tradition induction, Olsen inserted Lewis Neal into the 1-1 match, before the Englishman scored the match-winner - and his first career MLS goal.

3. D.C. United's 4-1 drubbing of FC Dallas on national TV
After a 0-2-1 start to the 2012 season - with just a single goal scored - United's Friday night match on the NBC Sports Network served as the team's coming out party. Maicon Santos' thundering goal in United's 4-1 win over Dallas on March 30 served as a punctuation point.

2. Dwayne De Rosario's 100th goal
Dwayne De Rosario made history on the night of August 29 when he became just the seventh player in MLS history to score 100 regular season MLS goals. His audacious goal in the 68th minute was not enough, unfortunately, as New York's Wilman Conde scored a screamer in the 88th to draw the two teams level at two goals apiece.

1. Chris Pontius' hat trick in 4-1 over New York
Is there anything better than thrashing a rival in style? Chris Pontius did just that when he scored his first career hat trick on a rainy April evening at RFK. The signature moment of the match was CP13's first goal when he ran over Thierry Henry, stealing the ball, and crushed the ball into the back of the net from 22 yards.

Though not a specific moment, perhaps most important to all supporters is the team's current 15-match home unbeaten streak (11-0-4) - the longest in club history. The team has not lost at RFK Stadium since the home opener on March 10 - a 1-0 loss to Eastern Conference leaders Sporting Kansas City.

See if the team can extend its record streak on Saturday, October 20 in the team's home season final versus the Columbus Crew. TICKETS
