Volkswagen keys to the match

United's offense must test Tally Hall on Sunday at BBVA Compass Stadium

D.C. United and the Houston Dynamo have split their season series to date, so Sunday's showdown will serve as a rubber match of sorts.  Here are our Volkswagen Keys To The Match:

DANIEL VS DP

Daniel Woolard always seems to draw a matchupwith the opposition's fastest attacking threat, and Sunday will be nodifferent.  Oscar Boniek Garcia hasbeen extremely dangerous since joining the Dynamo and will be looking for abreakthrough against United. Woolard has acquitted himself well against speedsters, but the Honduranis fast, strong on the ball and great in tight quarters.

AMBITIOUS IN ATTACK

The scouting report on Tally Hall is that theHouston goalie is quick off his line, perhaps a bit too quick.  During their recent match, SportingKansas City tried plenty of speculative efforts from long range in an attemptto catch Hall out of position. United took only four shots on their last trip to BBVA Compass Stadium, and will surely look to up that number on Sunday.

BRUIN ISLAND

Five of Will Bruin's 14 career goals have come against D.C. United,so the Black-and-Red are sure to keep a close eye on the second yearstriker.  Despite his track recordof success against United, Bruin has struggled since Houston's transition to a4-3-3.  Playing a bit higher thanMacoumba Kandji and Oscar Boniek Garcia, Bruin is seeing less of the ball.  If D.C.'s defense can keep himisolated, Bruin's recent dry spell - the Indiana product hasn't scored since June23 - could continue.
