Ethan White loaned to the Richmond Kickers

United defender will return to the Black-and-Red on Monday

D.C. United announced today that Kensington, Maryland native Ethan White has been loaned to USL PRO side the Richmond Kickers for this upcoming weekend. White will be available for selection against the Wilmington Hammerheads (6/15 at 7:30PM) and the Charlotte Eagles (6/16 at 8:00PM). He will return to the Black-and-Red on Monday.

White, a homegrown talent from nearby Kensington, Maryland, made an immediate impact during his first professional season with D.C. United. He was a consistent contributor to United’s defense in 2011, playing in 24 matches with 21 starts and logging close to 2,000 minutes on the pitch. Following off-season knee surgery, White has yet to play a League match this season. He returned to the field for United’s Open Cup match at Richmond May 29 and has played all 180 minutes of reserve league action for the club this season.

The Kickers are currently in fourth place in USL PRO League play and are 4-2-5 through eleven games.
