Another day, another signing for the Black-and-Red.

We'll soon announce that the club has acquired 22-year old Floribert N'Galula. This signing will be of particular intrigue to DCU supporters, as the defender/midfielder spent four years in the Anderlecht youth system before being spotted by English giants Manchester United, where he spent five years playing with the team's youth and reserve squads. He also had two appearances on the substitutes bench for the first team in 2006. Flo, as he's known, most recently played for Rotterdam of the Dutch Eredivisie, where he figured into 12 games with the reserve side.

Flo was born in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and moved to Belgium as a youth.

Here's what GM Dave Kasper had to say about the club's most recent addition:

"We are very excited about the pedigree Flo brings to D.C. United. Flo impressed during his post-season trial with us and we feel he has the physical tools and versatility to be very successful in our League. We forward to his contributions.”

The post-season trial Kasper refers to is the invite-only session the club has each year after the campaign ends. The team brings in a host of collegiate and international players to evaluate and consider for the first team. This particular session turned up Flo.

Here's a quick look at his playing career..

1999-03: Anderlecht youth (Belgium)
2003-07: Manchester United (England)
2007-08: FC Randers (Denmark)
2008-09: Rotterdam (Holland)

And, if anyone speaks French, here's a little video...
