D.C. United sign goalkeeper Milos Kocic

Washington, D.C. (March 12, 2009) – D.C. United announced today the signing of goalkeeper Milos Kocic to a developmental roster spot. A graduate of Loyola College of Maryland, Kocic was selected by the Black-and-Red in the second round (21st overall) of the 2009 MLS SuperDraft on January 15. He will be officially available upon receipt of his International Transfer Certificate.

“We are pleased that Milos is now officially part of our club,” said D.C. United General Manager Dave Kasper. “He has all of the necessary qualities to be an outstanding goalkeeper in MLS, and he is making very good progress.”

During his senior season at Loyola, the 6’4”, 200 lbs. netminder averaged a 0.66 goals-against-average and notched 12 shutouts.
