
Good Sport Designated Driver of the Game
RESPONSIBILITY MATTERS
D.C. United is proud to partner with Anheuser-Busch, Capital Eagle, Events DC and TEAM Coalition to implement the Good Sport Program, which runs at every regular D.C. United home match.
THE PROGRAM
- Encourages fans to act responsibly and to respect the rights of others while in attending a D.C. United match at RFK Stadium
- Is a pledge to our fans that D.C. United intends to maintain the wholesome family atmosphere that they have come to expect and appreciate
- Focuses on communicating a series of messages to spectators that prompt attitude change and remind spectators of the importance of responsible behavior
HOW TO PARTICIPATE
To take part in the Good Sport Program while at a D.C. United match, visit the Good Sport booth located just inside Gate A at RFK. The booth opens 60 minutes before kick-off and closes 30 minutes into the first half. As a thank you for signing up to be D.C. United's Designated Driver of the Game, participants will receive Good Sport key chain, as well as a coupon good for a complimentary soda. All participant will be entered into a game day drawing to become D.C. United's Good Sport of the Game for a chance to win a special prize pack, which includes an autographed miniball.
TEAM Coalitions' Responsibility Has Its Rewards is a national campaign encouraging fans at every MLS stadium to participate in the Good Sport program. Fans who sign up for the program are eligible to be the D.C. United's Designated Driver for the Season. The Designated Driver for the Season is entered into a drawing to win roundtrip airfare, hotel accommodations and two tickets to the MLS All-Star Game or MLS CUP.
THE CHALLENGE
If you’re attending the D.C. United games vs. Philadelphia Union on April 21, 2013 and October 12, 2013, stop by the area behind section 302 (outside of the Champion's Club) to autograph a larger-than-life soccer ball and receive a free souvenir photo. Pledge to be the Designated Driver of the game and help earn United 3 points in the Budweiser Good Sport Designated Driver Challenge.
