D.C. United's long and challenging search for a home of its own, has been a whirlwind. Each day a new prospect, another hurdle. A single constant has stood by in confident support, and with unwavering passion. That constant has been our fans.

It is with deep pride and an overwhelming sense of gratitude that we present this week's #TBT in honor of the best fans in MLS. We are here to stay.

Last Sunday, the United States Men's National Team beat El Salvador in Baltimore. While D.C. United's Bill Hamid was training with the squad at M&T Bank Stadium, he "payed homage" to Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis. Lucky for us, Brek Shea caught it all on camera!

Good luck to Bill Hamid and the rest of the USMNT tonight against Honduras at Cowboys Stadium.

In the 58th minute of Saturday's match, Luis Silva received a pass from Perry Kitchen, turned, took his space and hit a spectacular, long-range shot. The match against the Fire was Silva's MLS debut for D.C. United, and although DCU dropped the match, his goal was definitely a bright spot. Make sure to cast your vote for Silva for Week 21 Goal of the Week!

Last year, Chris Pontius and D.C. United presented the Washington Wizards' John Wall a personalized jersey. The point guard has been seen around the country, sporting the Black-and-Red kit, and was most recently spotted in Las Vegas.

On Tuesday, July 16, D.C. United volunteers, with the help of both Target and Salvation Army volunteers, paired up with kids of the Salvation Army’s Social Services program and took them back-to-school shopping at Target. Each kid received an $80 gift card, and each volunteer made sure the kids purchased everything needed to start the school year off right. After the shopping spree, all participants enjoyed a late breakfast provided by Target and the Salvation Army DC. The event was a huge success and rewarding for the kids and volunteers alike.

Among those volunteering was D.C. United Marketing Coordinator Adam Hoyt who shared his experience through a Tweet.

Michael Seaton, just 17-years-old, made an immediate impact in D.C. United's friendly against Chivas de Guadalajara last Friday. Coming on in the 73rd minute, Seaton, with his very first touch for the DCU First Team, found Carlos Ruiz, who put the ball in the back of the net. Yesterday, the Washington Post's Soccer Insider, Steven Goff, spoke with the young, Homegrown product about his development, his stellar performances with Richmond and his future.
