Players share their love of reading with online students

After training today, Dwayne De Rosario and Perry Kitchen took a moment to participate in an online education event with DeRo read “Froggy Plays Soccer” while Perry read “Splat!: The Colorful Cat” to some local students while the session was recorded for online use. D.C. United's ownership group, players, and staff served lunch at SOME (So Others Might Eat) today. The club's mission is to "Win championships and serve the community."

United's mascot busts a move at the DMV Dance Fitness Festival

This past Sunday, United mascot Talon participated in the DMV Dance Fitness Festival in Rockville, Maryland, where he mingled with fans and perfected his Zumba dance moves. Festival activities included music, live performances and a Zumba Fitness Class. Proceeds from the event went to St. Jude Children's Hospital, where no child is denied treatment based on race, religion or a family's ability to pay.
