ADAM ROTCHSTEIN - PHYSICAL PREPARATION COACH
In his first season as Physical Preparation Coach for United, Rotchstein helped the Black-and-Red capture the 2013 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup in Salt Lake City.
Previously, Rotchstein was the Physical Preparation Coach for the Montreal Impact during the team’s inaugural MLS season in 2012. In 2011, while employed with Athletes’Performance, Rotchstein was the Physical Preparation Coach for the Polish National Team and Turkish first division club Galatasaray. He also worked with Mexican first division club Santos Laguna and with the United States Men’s National Soccer Team. Rotchstein was also the Performance Specialist for Chivas USA of MLS in 2009 and 2010, reaching the playoffs in 2009.
Rotchstein was an Assistant Strength Coach with Arizona State University, between 2007 and 2009. In 2006 and 2007, he was an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Carolina Panthers (NFL).
He holds a Masters Degree in Sports Management and a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology, both from East Carolina University, where he was a Graduate Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach from 2003 to 2005.
Rotchstein is a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist, (CSCS - through the National Strength & Conditioning Association) and is a certified USA Weightlifting Club Coach (USAW). He currently resides in the Alexandria area with his wife Tami and his two sons Addison & Coby.
