Tom Hunt - President of Business Operations
Tom Hunt is a twenty-three year veteran in the sports and entertainment industry, having served varied roles in sales and marketing for the NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL and Turner Broadcasting. After graduating from UC Berkeley in 1990, Hunt began his career with the Oakland A's in ticket sales before attending graduate school at Ohio University to earn his Master's in Sports Administration. Upon completion of a communications internship with the Miami Dolphins, Hunt served in a marketing capacity at the World Wrestling Federation (now WWE) in which he marketed and promoted live wrestling events across the country.
Hunt then spent almost twelve years with Turner Broadcasting brands in Atlanta and New York City, holding several sales and marketing posts with World Championship Wrestling, Cartoon Network, TBS and TNT. At WCW, Hunt promoted live PPV wrestling events and was instrumental in launching WCW’s initial digital ventures on the web including the creation of the first-ever internet PPV sports event in 1997. While with Cartoon Network, Hunt helped the network launch and promote new original cartoons before joining the ad sales side building revenue generating advertising platforms for TNT and TBS.
In 2005 Hunt joined the Sacramento Kings and spent 6 years overseeing sponsorship and premium ticket sales and was instrumental in selling a naming rights partnership to replace ARCO on the Kings arena.
Most recently, Hunt served for three years at Monumental Sports & Entertainment in Washington DC, overseeing corporate partnerships and advertising revenue for the Washington Wizards, Capitals, Mystics, Verizon Center, Capitals Iceplex, Monumental Network and the newly launched 4,300 square feet of digital signage on the exterior of Verizon Center.
