The D.C. United U-23, U-18 and U-16 Academy and Pre-Academy teams were all in action this past weekend.
The D.C. United U-23 team beat Chesterfield United FC 1-0 in its first home game of the NPSL season. The lone goal came off a spectacular bicycle kick from Ryan Harmouche in the 41st minute.
Major League Soccer today launched fan voting for the 2014 AT&T MLS All-Star Game at www.MLSsoccer.com.
Media members nominated a total of 152 players to the fan ballot. Fans may vote online HERE through July 11 at 3 p.m. ET and via Twitter from July 2-6. Eleven players – one goalkeeper, three defenders, four midfielders and three forwards – with the highest combined votes will be named to the All-Star Fan XI.
D.C. United and CBS Radio have announced an exclusive partnership that will bring D.C. United back onto the Washington, D.C. area radio airwaves through the 2017 Major League Soccer season.
Major League Soccer and U.S. Soccer have signed new television and media rights partnerships with ESPN, FOX Sports and Univision Deportes, reaching eight-year agreements with the networks to televise MLS and U.S. Soccer matches in the United States through the end of 2022. The announcement was made today by MLS Commissioner Don Garber, U.S. Soccer CEO/General Secretary Dan Flynn, ESPN, Inc.

D.C. United today announced that the Club will be recalling Jalen Robinson from the Richmond Kickers and initiating a new loan with Arizona United SC. The Homegrown defender was loaned to the Kickers on March 20, and has featured in one match for United’s USL Affiliate.
D.C. United Academy played MLS rivals Philadelphia Union on Sunday, May 5 at Spingarn High School, going 1-1-1 against the Union in three physical matchups.
D.C. United announced today that Craig Stouffer has been named the club’s Director of Communications. In addition to his ongoing role as the team spokesperson for the proposed stadium plan at Buzzard Point, Stouffer will oversee all of the club’s communications and media relations activities.
D.C. United and Comcast SportsNet Mid-Atlantic have announced the addition of two D.C. United matches to its previously announced schedule of live Black-and-Red coverage this season: United at Real Salt Lake on Aug. 9 at 10 p.m. and against the Colorado Rapids on Aug. 17 at 8 p.m.
UniteDC coalition grows to more than 50 community organizations and businesses, more than 5,000 D.C. residents
The grassroots movement to support a proposed D.C. United stadium at Buzzard Point and associated District of Columbia development continues to expand and grow. Over 50 local community organizations and businesses have joined the UniteDC coalition in addition to the more than 5,000 District residents across all eight wards of the District who have sent emails to the Mayor and City Council to support the new stadium.
