Washington, D.C. (November 4, 2013) – D.C. United, in conjunction with Mahaka Sports and Entertainment, today announced its plans for a post-season tour in Southeast Asia, with the club in Indonesia from Dec. 3 through Dec. 9. While there, the Black-and-Red will participate in two friendlies – one against Persib Bandung (Indonesia Super League) on Dec. 6 at 6:30 p.m. local time and one against Arema FC (Indonesia Super League) on Dec. 8 at 7 p.m. local time.
Washington, D.C. (November 1, 2013) – D.C. United today announced that the club has declined its option on Syamsir Alam.

Alam joined United on Jan. 25, 2013, on loan from C.S. Vise (Belgium). The Indonesian youth international did not feature for the Black-and-Red during the 2013 season.
Washington, D.C. (October 31, 2013) – D.C. United today announced that the club has declined its option on midfielder Dwayne De Rosario who will become eligible for the Re-Entry Draft.
Washington, D.C. (October 30, 2013) – D.C. United today announced that the club has declined options on three players, including forwards Lionard Pajoy, Carlos Ruiz and midfielder Marcelo Saragosa. Ruiz and Saragosa are both eligible for the Re-Entry Draft.

D.C. United and its charitable arm, United for D.C., today announced the schedule for United Reads during the Fall of 2013. United Reads is a signature program created to encourage elementary school students in the greater Metropolitan Washington, D.C. area to read and to promote the importance of healthy lifestyles. United Reads is currently in its 11th year and has distributed over 81,000 books to local elementary students in underserved communities, serving over 23,000 students through school visits.
Washington, D.C. (October 21, 2013) — This past weekend, the Black-and-Red Academy teams went 2-1-0 as the U-18 and U-16 squads were in action against Players Developmental Academy (PDA), and the U-14s took on Soccer Association of Columbia (SAC). All three games were played in Washington, D.C.

D.C. United today announced the club’s preliminary preseason schedule ahead of the 2014 Major League Soccer season. The Black-and-Red will travel to Bradenton, Fla., for the second consecutive year for training camp at IMG Academy from Jan. 29-Feb. 13. Following that stint, the team will be participating in the Carolina Challenge Cup, which will be held in Charleston, S.C. from Feb. 22-March 1. United will arrive in Charleston, S.C., on Feb. 20 and depart home to Washington, D.C., on March 2.

United today announced details for “Noche Latina” at RFK Stadium on Saturday, Oct. 12, as the team takes on the Philadelphia Union at 7 p.m. The festival will take place from 4:30-6:30 p.m. in Lot 8 of RFK Stadium. AT&T, Parts Authority, Shoppers and Volkswagen will present the eighth consecutive event celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month.
