D.C. United today announced the club’s preliminary preseason schedule ahead of the 2014 Major League Soccer season. The Black-and-Red will travel to Bradenton, Fla., for the second consecutive year for training camp at IMG Academy from Jan. 29-Feb. 13. Following that stint, the team will be participating in the Carolina Challenge Cup, which will be held in Charleston, S.C. from Feb. 22-March 1. United will arrive in Charleston, S.C., on Feb. 20 and depart home to Washington, D.C., on March 2.

Washington, D.C. (October 10, 2013) – D.C. United today announced, through the United Drives program, that it will be collecting toiletries for Thrive DC on Saturday, Oct. 12, before United’s match against the Philadelphia Union at 7 p.m. ET.

As a part of Hispanic Heritage Month celebrations, D.C. United today announced details for “Noche Latina” at RFK Stadium on Saturday, Oct. 12, as the team takes on the Philadelphia Union at 7 p.m. The festival will take place from 4:30-6:30 p.m. in Lot 8 of RFK Stadium. AT&T, Parts Authority, Shoppers and Volkswagen will present the eighth consecutive event celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month.

D.C. United, in conjunction with MLS W.O.R.K.S, today announced that the club will participate in Breast Cancer Awareness Month, with the team incorporating pink into its match against the Chicago Fire tonight (8 p.m. ET; NBC Sports Network).

United – in conjunction with Lucky Bar – today announced plans for a viewing party on Tuesday, Oct. 1 as the Black-and-Red takes on Real Salt Lake in the 2013 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup final. Taking place at Rio Tinto Stadium in Sandy, UT, the championship match will air live at 9 p.m. ET on GolTV.

 Washington, D.C. (September 17, 2013) – In the second weekend of the 2013-14 U.S. Soccer Development Academy (USSDA) season, D.C. United’s U-18, U-16 and U-14 Academy teams took on Bethesda-Olney with the U-18 team losing, the U-16 team drawing and the U-14 side coming away with a win.

D.C. United today announced that the 2013 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup final will take place at 9 p.m. ET on Oct. 1, and will be broadcast live on Gol TV. The club will face Real Salt Lake at Rio Tinto Stadium in Sandy, UT in the championship match, the 100th edition of the domestic tournament. The winner will receive $250,000 in prize money as well as an automatic berth into the 2014-15 CONCACAF Champions League. The Black-and-Red advanced to the final round – its first appearance in this stage of the competition since 2009 – by defeating the Chicago Fire on Aug.

United announced today announced plans for five previous inductees to be on hand as legendary striker Jaime Moreno joins the Hall of Tradition, presented by Allstate Insurance, as United faces the LA Galaxy Saturday, Sept. 14 at 4:00 p.m. ET. John Harkes, Marco Etcheverry, Jeff Agoos, Eddie Pope and Ben Olsen will join Moreno for festivities throughout the afternoon and evening, including a special halftime ceremony.
