Washington, D.C. (July 2, 2009) - U.S. Soccer today announced the possible semifinal pairings for the 2009 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup. Should D.C. United advance past USL-2 side Harrisburg City Islanders in the quarterfinal round of the competition, the Black-and-Red would host the semifinal match against the winner of the Rochester Rhinos (USL-1)-Wilmington Hammerheads (USL-2) match on Tuesday, July 21 at the Maryland SoccerPlex in Boyds, MD. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET.
Washington, D.C. (June 30, 2009) - Following tonight’s 2-0 victory over the Ocean City Barons (PDL), D.C. United is set to host the Harrisburg City Islanders (USL-2) in the quarterfinal round of the U.S. Open Cup. The game will be held at the Maryland SoccerPlex July 7 at 7:30 p.m. Harrisburg advanced to the round of eight courtesy of a 2-1 overtime win over the New England Revolution. United and Harrisburg City have faced each other one other time in Open Cup play, a 1-0 Islanders victory in Pennsylvania.

Washington, D.C. (June 25, 2009) - D.C. United announced today that the club will not exercise the option on Louis Crayton’s contract, ending the goalkeeper’s one-year stay with the Black-and-Red. Crayton’s current deal is set to expire June 30, at which time the club will have a roster spot available in advance of the summer transfer window.
