United-related instances are among 20 contenders for the 2012 MLS Moment of the Year: Dwayne De Rosario's 100th MLS goal, the snowed-out playoff match at Red Bull Arena and MLS All-Stars defeating European champions Chelsea FC, with Ben Olsen as coach, De Rosario as captain and Chris Pontius selected as MVP.

Late Tuesday morning, D.C. United midfielder Nick DeLeon was tabbed to Major League Soccer’s prestigious 24 under 24 list.  Being on the league’s catalogue of talented youngsters is certainly an honor for the University of Louisville product, but there could be more in store for DeLeon later this year.
