The World Cup Trophy Tour presented by Coca-Cola made its first stop in the United States on Monday, April 14th in Washington, D.C. at the U.S. State Department, welcomed by Vice President Joe Biden and Secretary of State John Kerry. D.C.
On March 8, D.C. United opened RFK Stadium for our 19 season with Shawn Kuykendall on our minds and in our hearts. We donned an all new jersey, complete with a new presenting partner. But Leidos was not the only name on the warm-ups that night. United players proudly wore, “#Kuykenstrong” across their backs during pre-game drills. The tribute was to honor the former player, and all-time member of our D.C. United family.

The Chamber Dance Project is producing a stellar show at the Kennedy Center in which gorgeous tango ballets will be performed, and in support of the gala, on April 10, Minister Federico Barttfeld, Head of Cultural Affairs of Argentina, and the Chamber Dance Project will host Tango with the Stars.
On Wednesday March 12, 2014, D.C. United Homegrown and Maryland native, Jalen Robinson, lead drills, signed autographs and discussed professionalism with kids enrolled in the Latino Youth Development Program at Maryvale Elementary School. Teaming up for this event, D.C. United and Leveling the Playing Field helped give back to the community.
Chris Pontius and Matt Lampson of the Columbus Crew hosted two families, the Keffers and Deavers, in the name of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society at the Home Opener Saturday night.
Jack Keffer, who is four-years-old, is currently undergoing treatment for leukemia. Eight-year-old Giovanni Deavers is also undergoing treatment after a recent relapse.
D.C. United today announced that they will participate in the annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service by working with City Year to help beautify Calvin Coolidge High School in Northwest D.C.
The MLK Day of Service is part of United We Serve, the President’s national call to service initiative, which calls for Americans from all walks of life to work together to provide solutions to our most pressing national problems.

D.C. United to participate in Three Kings Day with DC Metropolitan Police Department-Latino Liaison Unit
D.C. United today announced that it will be participating in the 10th annual Three Kings Day gift giving event held by the DC Metropolitan Police Department-Latino Liaison Unit (LLU) on Monday, Jan. 13 from 5-9 p.m. EST. The event will be held at the LLU offices at 18th and Columbia Road NW and will kick-off the start of the 2014 United Builds season.
