3:30 p.m. Más de 60 niños y niñas del United Soccer Club disfrutaron de una
tarde de fútbol con sus ídolos del United y los jugadores del Ajax.
Head Coach Ben Olsen and front office staff spent Monday morning volunteering at Martha's Table in Washington, DC. The Black-and-Red prepared meals and helped set-up the mobile soup kitchen, called McKenna's Wagon, for its evening meal distribution.
D.C. United staff, supporters, and Volkswagen employees kicked off May by volunteering at DC Central Kitchen on Tuesday, May 3. The Black-and-Red helped chefs from the Culinary Job Training program slice and dice salad ingredients, bake chicken, create side dishes, and prepare the meals for distribution to DC Central Kitchen clients such as homeless shelters, rehabilitation clinics, and after-school programs in underserved areas.

Each month during the 2011 Major League Soccer season, D.C. United will collect items at every home game to benefit pre-determined non-profit organizations within the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Area.
After an intense morning of training, midfielder Chris Pontius and goalkeeper Joe Willis joined D.C. United front office staff in volunteering at Food & Friends on Wednesday afternoon. The players and staff helped Food & Friends prepare hundreds of meals for their clients.

WASHINGTON, DC - D.C. United and its non-profit arm, United for D.C., today announced the spring season kickoff of United Soccer Club. The season’s first kick is Monday, March 14 and the program will continue until June 3. Through its partnership with the U.S. Soccer Foundation’s Soccer for Success program, the spring session will include 12 sites and two new middle school teams in the district metro area. United for D.C. and the U.S.

While the team is away training for the 2011 season, D.C. United staff and volunteers continue to make an impact in the DC community. On Tuesday, February 8, volunteers from D.C. United’s United Builds program visited So Others Might Eat (SOME) to serve hundreds of DC area homeless.
D.C. United kicked off its 2011 United Builds program by celebrating Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service at Central High School in Prince George's County, MD.
The MLK Day of Service is a part of United We Serve, the President's national call to service initiative. It calls for Americans from all walks of life to work together to provide solutions to our most pressing national problems.
