Conor Shanosky headed home a free kick to put Richmond up 2-0 over Vancouver Whitecaps Reserves; the final score was 2-1.
Last Sunday, the United States Men's National Team beat El Salvador in Baltimore. While D.C. United's Bill Hamid was training with the squad at M&T Bank Stadium, he "payed homage" to Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis. Lucky for us, Brek Shea caught it all on camera!
In the 58th minute of Saturday's match, Luis Silva received a pass from Perry Kitchen, turned, took his space and hit a spectacular, long-range shot. The match against the Fire was Silva's MLS debut for D.C. United, and although DCU dropped the match, his goal was definitely a bright spot.
