Ahead of a rare weekday matchup, D.C. United's lingering injuries are starting to clear up, but that hasn't kept Casey Townsend from impressing. Nick DeLeon, who suffered a hamstring strain against the Columbus Crew on March 23 has been upgraded to questionable for Wednesday's game against the Dynamo. After being set back a few weeks with a groin strain, Chris Pontius has also been upgraded to questionable.

With a handful of injuries so far this season, D.C. United has been drawing deep into the roster and recently brought Townsend back from Richmond where he was on loan with the Kickers. Through three matches at the Kickers, Townsend tallied two goals and is tied in the leaderboard for goals scored. After training today Ben Olsen confirmed that Townsend would be in the 18 on Wednesday.

With the team in Columbus this weekend, Talon had an off week from his gameday duties. He took the rare opportunity to surprise a few kids at a party that one of the D.C. United Season Ticket Holders was hosting. The Black-and-Red mascot was a hit among the youthful crowd.

Find out more about Talon and how you can invite him to your party by emailing your customer service representative!

Last week, we had the opportunity to visit Time Out Sports Café in Herndon – and it didn’t disappoint. Time Out is a great place to take in any game, but what makes it that much better is that they have D.C. United specific chicken wings.

The “Black-and-Red” chicken wings were great. The large wings had a nice rub of spices on them and were cooked to perfection. On top of the wings, they had great service and personalized televisions (with sound!) at every booth in the place. Having televisions at every booth make it a great place to watch D.C. United take on the Columbus Crew this weekend with your family, friends, or a large group of supporters.

Another really neat aspect of Time Out Sports Café was the “do it yourself” tap system. This highly technological bar system lets users pour their own beer and you get charged by what you drink. Its actually cheaper to use the system than go through a bar tender – and cooler, so why not!

Folks out in Herndon for the game this weekend should give the wings a try. The picture below doesn’t do them justice.

Recently, FIFA announced that it will be implementing the use of goal-line technology at the Confederations Cup ahead of it's World Cup debut at Brazil 2014. When asked about the possibility of goal-line technology in MLS, Commissioner Garber said, "[The cost] had us take a step back and pause and try to figure out: Is the value of having goal-line technology worth investing millions and millions and millions of dollars for the handful of moments where it’s relevant? And our view has been that we’re going to wait and see how it works out. We certainly don’t need to be the first league that has it.”

MLS has long been a proponent of the use of technology to enhance the quality of the product on and off the field. So it's no surprise that Garber has put serious thought into the prospect of it's use. For now, supporters of goal-line technology will get their fill through international play, and can be the judge of it's effectiveness during the World Cup in Brazil.

In a recent post on Buzzfeed.com, the publication celebrated the human spirit in the aftermath of the tragedies in Boston and West Texas. The post featured a gallery of images of citizens and law enforcement officers working side-by-side to assit others. It captured the love and support that Americans all over the country displayed for victims, their families, and the cities where these horrific events took place.

One such image was an Instagram photo taken at Sunday's D.C. United match at RFK. The shot featured a pre-game tifo from United Supporters, which read, "STAND STRONG BOSTON + WEST." D.C. United is proud of the support that our fans showed to the cities and victims of last week's events, thank you.
